EXECUTIVE BOARD
CHRIS STINSON
Local Union Vice-President
Chris comes from Unifor 649's SaskEnergy operations sector in the Greater Regina area. Chris has been an active member of Local 649, serving as our representative on the DIP (Disability Income Plan) Council and the SaskEnergy Grievance Committee for a number of years, two contracts on the SaskEnergy Bargaining Committee, as well as backfilling when the SaskEnergy Labour Rep is away from the office. This is his first term as Vice President.
SHELLY HORVATH
Local Secretary-Treasurer
Shelly comes from Unifor 649's SaskEnergy Customer Service department in the Greater Regina area. Shelly has been an active member of Local 649, previously serving as our Branch 9 Chair on our Executive Council as well as the SaskEnergy Grievance Committee for a number of years, two contracts on the SaskEnergy Bargaining Committee, and backfilling when the SaskEnergy Labour Rep is away from the office. This is her first term as Secretary Treasurer.
AARON TISDALE
Board Member (Branch 2)
Aaron comes from Unifor 649's SaskPower unit where he serves as a Training Coordinator for all new SaskPower members. He has filled the role of Branch 2 chair as well been involved as a member of the Local Elections committee (Chair). Aaron is focused on bringing and advocating on behalf on SaskPower and Local 649 members at the board table.
JODY GOODFELLOW
Board Member (Branch 4, 6, 7 & 11)
Jody comes from Unifor 649's SaskEnergy field sector in the Melfort area. He has been an active member of this local for a number of years in a variety of roles. Recently elected to this position Jody maintains a close eye on what is happening in the field with the numerous changes being implemented and is always welcoming of members communication.
BOB TAYLOR
Board Member (Branch 3, 5 & 10)
Bob comes from Unifor 649's SaskEnergy Operations in the Saskatoon area. He has been active as a member of the Bylaws, and Elections Committees until his election to the board in 2024. As a board member he maintains close relations with the branches he represents in order to relay important information to and from the membership.
CORDELE MESSER
Board Member (Branch 1, 8 & 9)
Cordele comes from Unifor 649's SaskEnergy operations sector from the Regina area. He has been an active member of the local serving his first term on the board, and previously as a Branch Vice-Chair for a number of years, and has been a member of the most recent Bargaining Committee. As a board member he maintains close relations with the branches he represents in order to relay important information to and from the membership.
